Toronto Maple Leafs looking to trade a defenceman


After the massive Jack Eichel change the NHL trade rumors mill is churning out that the Toronto Maple Leafs are seeking to alternate a defenceman.

James Mirtle of The Athletic reviews the latest emergence of Timothy Liljegren appears to have created a piece of a logjam on Toronto’s blue line. 

Mirtle went on to mention, veterans Morgan Rielly, Jake Muzzin, and T.J. Brodie all have full no-exchange clauses – and Rielly simply inked an 8-year, $60-million extension – so it’s not going any of them are being floated in trade talks.

It is calling just like the Leafs will appearance to change Travis Dermott or Justin Holl. Dermott, 24, has years left on his contract with a $1.five-million cap hit. Holl, 29, also has two years closing with a $2-million cap hit. His deal consists of a 10-team no-exchange listing.
