The Toronto Maple Leafs will trade for defence


Over the past month or so alternate rumors have floated round that the Toronto Maple Leafs will make a exchange for an offensive ahead like .T. Miller, Boeser or Domi.

The Leafs are a top-5 group within the East and an effect change could help them make a run on the Stanley Cup. GM Kyle Dubas has showed that the Leafs will look to make a trade for a defenceman.

Zwolinski of the Toronto Star reports the Leafs will need to exchange their first round choose plus a roster participant/possibilities to land a defenceman like Dallas’s Klingberg, Arizona’s Chychrun or Anaheim’s Hampus Lindholm

Zwolinski went on to say, the Leafs are presently weighing the performances of numerous defencemen and forwards — Justin Holl, Rasmus Sandin, Timothy Liljegren, Travis Dermott, Ilya Mikheyev and Pierre Engvall — and will include one or two of the mentioned players in any trade package. 

It looks as if the Leafs will make another impact alternate at the change deadline and are willing to give up some roster players with a primary rounder to get the player they need.
