Ryan Getzlaf signs 8-year contract

Ryan Getzlaf has signed an eight-year contract extension with an annual average value of $8.25 million. The extension carries a total value of $66 million.

The Anaheim Ducks have locked Ryan Getzlaf in for the long-time period.

The crew announced Friday afternoon that they have got signed their captain to an eight-yr settlement extension with an annual average value of $8.25 million. The extension contains a complete price of $66 million.

“This is a notable day for my circle of relatives, as Anaheim has become our home,” said Getzlaf, a local of Saskatchewan. “The fanatics right here have handled me very well, and I look ahead to being a part of a triumphing hockey crew and contributing to the Orange County community for years to come.”

The extension can pay Getzlaf $6.five million in 2013-14 inclusive of a $2 million signing bonus. The relaxation of the settlement breaks down as follows: $8.75 million in 2014-15, $nine.25 million for 2015-16 through 2017-18, $8.ninety five million in 2018-19, $eight.275 million 2019-20. In 2020-21 he’s going to make $6 million, such as a $3 million signing bonus.
