NHL Trade: Ben Chiarot traded to the Florida Panthers


After being inside the rumor mill for over 3 months the Montreal Canadiens have eventually discovered a suitor and traded Chiarot.

Ben Chiarot has been traded to the Florida Panthers in alternate for Tyler Smilanic, a 1st-round pick out in 2023, and a 4th-round pick out in 2022.

The Habs are keeping 50% (1.75M) of Chiarot’s earnings cap hit, the Panthers now have $3.7M in NHL Trade Deadline cap space.

Chiarot is a pending unrestricted loose agent and carries a cap hit of $three.five million. He has seven dreams and 18 factors in 54 video games this season.
