The NHL trade deadline is two months away and Buffalo could look to get a head start in making moves. The Sabres need to quickly turn things around or they’ll find themselves out of realistic playoff contention by Valentine’s Day.
Will the Florida Panthers make trades soon?
The Hockey News: The Florida Panthers are worth watching in the trade market. Given the high expectations for the club entering this season, the Panthers’ organization isn’t happy with their current position outside the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Panthers president of hockey operations Dale Tallon could wait another month before making a trade, allowing for Jonathan Huberdeau’s return and to give his club a few more weeks to reverse their fortunes. But if they continue to struggle, his hand could be forced.
