Goaltender Jaroslav Halak has agreed to terms on a four-year, $18 million contract with the New York Islanders.

Goaltender Jaroslav Halak has agreed to phrases on a four-yr, $18 million contract with the New York Islanders.

The Islanders received Halak from Washington in alternate for the crew’s fourth-spherical pick out inside the 2014 NHL Draft on May 1.

Halak, 28, cut up his eighth NHL seasons among the St. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres and Washington Capitals, compiling a 29-13-7 report in 52 games. The Bratislava, Slovakia, native was dealt from St. Louis to Buffalo for a package that protected Ryan Miller and Steve Ott on March 1, 2014 and was then traded to Washington on March five, 2014 before playing a game with the Sabres.
