Carolina Hurricanes looking to add a skilled winger

Now that the Carolina Hurricanes have locked up forward Andrei Svechnikov to an extended-time period deal, they're now searching on the trade market for a skilled winger to add.

Luke DeCock of the News & Observer reports the Hurricanes are searching for a skilled winger and approximately $4.five million in cap space left to fill it.

DeCock went on to say, with a month to head before the primary preseason game, it’s clearly a query of whether the Hurricanes need to spend that money now or maintain that flexibility to load up on the 2022 NHL trade cut-off date.

There is not any phrase on who Carolina may want to target however DeCock did mention the Hurricanes may also examine buying and selling Jake Gardiner to free up even extra cap area to land a larger fish inside the NHL trade marketplace.
